Does your saddle fit? Want to find out?

I’m excited to announce a new offering here at Equine Unbound - professional saddle‐fitting evaluations! As a bodyworker, I’ve witnessed firsthand the pain, performance limitations, and long‐term damage that an ill‑fitting saddle can cause. That’s why I returned to school to earn my Certified Equine Ergonomist (CEE) credential through Saddlefit 4 Life.

A CEE evaluates saddle fit for both rider and horse through the lens of anatomy and proper biomechanics - identifying any areas causing discomfort, injury risk, or hindering performance. This non‐brand‐specific training teaches me to assess each horse as an individual and make unbiased, commission‑free recommendations tailored to you and your horse’s unique needs. My sole focus? Helping your horse feel good, move freely, and perform at their best while preventing injury and long‑term damage.

As part of my externship leading up to certification, I’m seeking 30 horse‑and‑rider teams interested in a complete saddle‐fit evaluation - totally free during this training period (a $195 value!). Each 2‑hour evaluation includes:

  • Inspection of your current saddle’s condition

  • Rider measurements in the saddle on a stand

  • Horse measurements and gait evaluation

  • Chalk mapping of your horse’s back to outline the optimal saddle support area

  • Static saddle‑to‑horse fit assessment

  • Ridden evaluation of the horse‑saddle‑rider combination (approx. 15 minutes)

  • Photos at each step for submission and grading

Because my own riding passion lies in western performance, I’ve decided to focus my training and develop my expertise in this area. To aid in such, riders in cutting, reining, cow horse, and ranch versatility disciplines will receive first priority – but all inquiries are welcome!
